What is meditation?
"Meditation is not escape from society, but to come back to ourselves and see what is going on. Once there is seeing, there must be acting. With mindfulness we know what to do and what not to do to help." - Thich Nhat Hanh How we incorporate meditation into adventure yoga? Meditation is a very important aspect in our project. Every practice we will be learning more about what it means to meditate as well as trying different methods of mediation. We plan on having youth meditate with music, in nature (of course), as well as walking meditations and a few more methodologies. We hope to encourage youth to use this to help them in their daily lives, because it is proven to help keep the mind, body and soul relaxed, aware and empowered. |
